Meet Joanne Matthews
26 years of teaching. One simple belief – learning should be natural.
I’m Joanne Matthews, a UK-qualified teacher based in Arona, Tenerife. I’ve been teaching since 2001 across the UK, Europe and internationally, working with students of all ages and abilities — from GCSE pupils to business professionals, from complete beginners to those preparing for Cambridge or IELTS exams.
Teaching is never just about the subject for me. It’s about understanding the person in front of me — their goals, their fears, their learning style — and finding the approach that works for them. My students don’t just pass exams. They gain confidence.
